From August 2 to 8 the community of Al-Safina with former assistants and friends fled the heat of Damascus to go diving in the waters of the Mediterranean at Kafarsetta (located beside the sea and run by Terre des Hommes) . A lovely week of vacation was had, during which people and assistants broke the routine of daily life to experience seven great days full of exciting activities. The days were spent swimming, doing crafts, and playing games on the beach. In addition, the time was enriched by daily community meetings with Jacques Picard (little brother of Jesus Christ), Dr. Peter Chiniara (Psychiatrist) and Dr. Viken Simone (GP). These meetings focused on the spiritual life of Al-Safina with lively discussions and the sharing of opinions and personal experiences.
